Goncalo Alves Coffee Table

I made this coffee table around 1985. It is made of a wood called Gonçalo alves, commonly known as tigerwood or jobillo. It is a dense, highly durable tropical hardwood native to Central America and South America, particularly Brazil and Mexico. It is extremely dense and difficult work with because it dulls blades and bits quickly.
