About

Built by the owner’s grandparents in 1946, in the family ever since.

My wife Glori and I own the house. It was built in 1946 by my grandfather; I inherited it from my father, who inherited it from his. I spent my summers here growing up, and this is where we plan to retire. Renting it to guests is how a house like this stays alive between our own visits. After years of doing it, we genuinely enjoy it.

The house at autumn dusk: the cove, the dock, and the wetlands behind. In the family since 1946.

Who you'll deal with

Glori handles most of the communication. She talks with everyone who is interested in renting, answers questions, and makes sure the house will actually meet your expectations before you commit. Once you book, she works with you to make the vacation genuinely memorable.

Chuck is in charge of the electronics, the website, and general maintenance, and he is the builder behind the kitchen's copper range hood, the fossil bar, the sailboats on the front door, and the inlay in the kitchen island. Technical questions go to him, and most can be solved remotely, at any hour.

The house was comfortable, full of character, and perfectly positioned with beautiful views. Glori was generous, responsive, and made the stay feel easy and welcoming. A great spot overall and one we'd happily return to.

How booking works here

We don't offer one-click booking, by design. We talk with every guest first, because a week in this house is a significant purchase and we want to be sure it is the right fit: the right season, the right group, the right expectations. That conversation is also why we have had five-star reviews from the beginning.

Booking directly with us means there is no platform between us: no service fee added on top of the rate, and the person answering your questions is the person who owns the house. Paying by check takes another 3% off.

Our rental contract is available to read and print before you commit. It has the legalese our lawyer requires, but mostly it plainly describes the house rules, so everyone has the same understanding before the vacation starts. Two things worth knowing up front: the setting suits people looking for a secluded, quiet, waterfront week surrounded by wetlands and wildlife, and our agreement with the neighbors means no weddings or parties.

Questions about any of it? Dates, the house, the fine print: just ask. You'll be talking to us.
